Later in the afternoon, some clearing occured and I got this lake. I didn't note the name, but there are tens of lakes just as beautiful, and with that Emerald colored water. Something in the glacier action puts some particles in the water that give this color.

LAST DAY IN CANADA; JASPER AND BANFF
Mostly cloudy over Maligne Lake. This lake is the second most photographed in the Jasper-Banff region (Lake Louise gets the most attention.) To take the best scenic photos, you need to choose an object, study sun angles, etc, and budget a week to be sure of perfect weather, and to try a range of lighting conditions. This shot is the best I could do with a ten minute stop and no advance planning. I think you can see the possibilities, but if you are curious, just try "Maligne Lake" with Google Images search.
